Give me a few good sounding choices so I can get on with the task of making music.
If you have 3 real amps available for recording thats usually more than enough. In the real world you usually gig one amp. Its very intuitive and the lack of bells, whistles and scores of amps is actually a feature as far as I'm concerned. The best thing about S-gear is that you can be making great sounding music or recording in minutes. The axe and kemper boxes have ALOT more features and amps but also cost 15-20X what s-gear does. it might a bit less real than those 2 but better than every other HW or SW sim I have tried.
I would say that S-gear can hang with the AXE and Kemper. It doesn't do modern metal or Vox tones.yet. Any good ones ? Comparable to axefx and kemper?įor clean and crunchy fender, lo- med gain marshall, and med-high gain boogie MK III tones S-gear is the king of the software amp sims until something better dethrones it.
